Why a retracting cord matters
On a fixed lanyard, every scan means either bending toward the reader or lifting the lanyard over your head. Do that thirty times a shift and the badge hole tears, the lanyard stretches and the credential ends up in a pocket. A reel removes the tug entirely: the cord extends to the reader and pulls itself back.
Reel alone or fitted to a lanyard
If your staff already wear lanyards, order badge reels on their own and they clip straight onto the existing hardware. If you are starting from nothing, the pre-assembled sets are cheaper and arrive ready to hand out.
