When to sublimate rather than print
If your artwork has more than two spot colors, a gradient, a photograph or fine detail, sublimation is the only method that will hold it. It also prints edge to edge and can carry a repeating pattern down the full length of the lanyard. Because the ink sits inside the fiber, there is no raised layer to crack or peel with wear.
What it costs you
Sublimation carries a higher setup than silkscreen and is not the cheapest option for a one-color logo on a large run — at that spec silkscreen does the same job for less.
