Where badge reels earn their place
Anywhere a credential is scanned repeatedly. Hospitals and clinics badge through doors dozens of times a shift; schools, warehouses and secure offices are the same. A reel keeps the card reachable and stops the daily tug that eventually tears a punched badge off a plain lanyard.
Attachment types
The bulldog clip and alligator clip are the standard fittings for a punched card. A belt clip lets the reel ride on a waistband instead of the neck, which suits anyone in a uniform or a lab coat. A swivel back lets the reel rotate flat against clothing rather than twisting the cord. A carabiner reel clips onto a bag strap or belt loop and doubles as a key holder.
Print area and finish
Round reels give you the largest usable print face and are the easiest to fill with a logo. Square and oval shapes read as more considered and stand out in a room where everyone else is wearing a circle. Chrome and metal bodies carry a heavier, more premium feel for executive or client-facing credentials; plastic keeps the cost down for large staff rollouts.
